Geovex completed a screw piling and reinforced concrete foundation package at Lacuna in Winkfield, Windsor, supporting a private residential build. The scope combined pile installation and ground beam construction within a single coordinated programme, providing the client with a turnkey substructure solution.
The piling works comprised 11 positions using 76R triple-helix screw piles, installed to verified torque and bearing criteria with individual capacities up to 120kN. Each pile location was set out to the structural engineer's layout, with installation records maintained throughout for full traceability.
Reinforced concrete ground beams were cast at 500 × 400mm sections to DC-2 / DS-2 durability classification, incorporating 220mm Cellcore to beam soffits and 75mm Heaveguard protection to beam faces as anti-heave measures. Concrete cube testing was carried out in accordance with the project specification to confirm strength and durability compliance.
The complete foundation package at Lacuna was delivered within approximately six days including mobilisation, and handed over ready for superstructure works. The Winkfield scheme demonstrates Geovex's capability to manage compact residential piling and beam programmes efficiently as a single-source contractor.
