When ground is waterlogged or unstable, augered piles can collapse before concrete is poured. That's where SCD piling comes in. Instead of drilling a hole, we drive a steel casing into the ground - displacing the soil rather than removing it.
The steel tube stays in place, creating a stable void for concrete. This works in conditions where other methods fail - high water tables, loose fill, and soft clays. On contaminated sites, there's a bonus: no excavated spoil means no disposal costs.
